MUSTAFA HAMSHO ; If Not For Marv …
By: Jim Amato
He may have been the second best middleweight in the world in the late 1970’s through the mid 80’s. The ” Hagler Era “. he was twice defeated by the Marvelous one in title fights but no one other then Hagler could seemhandle him.
Mustafa Hamsho was born in Syria in 1953. He turned professional in
1975 sometimes fighting under the moniker of Rocky Estafire. He lost his
first pro fight in Binghampton, N.Y. to Pat Cuillo. After eight bouts it
would have been hard to foresee Hamsho as a future contender as his ledger
stood at 4-2-2. Mustafa would go on to win his next 27 bouts and firmly
establish himself as a legitimate title threat.

Sergio Martinez On Pacquiao "I Would Beat Him By Knock Out"
By: John Martinez
May 25, 2011
Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez (47, 2, 2,KO 26) 2010's Fighter of the Year, is much like newly crowned WBC light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins; as good as it gets in the sport of boxing.

Martinez is a fighter's fighter. A throwback pugilist who doesn't weigh his options for future rumbles against opposition that presents the lowest risk to his victory category yet garnishes the most money pocketed. He isn't interested in padding records and claiming belt trinkets either. Instead, he is only interested in being great and seeking the toughest fights possible, win or lose.
Team Puerto Rico Boxing present back-to-back boxing spectacular, Boricua Invasion I & II on June 10 & 11 at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC

The Brick City Bullet, Alex Perez in Featured Bout
Galarza, Dulorme, Pedraza top Friday night; Del Valle, Gonzalez, Arroyo, Sanchez, and Bracero to see action on Saturday
NEW YORK, NY Two of boxing’s top promoters have put together a tribute to the great Puerto Rican boxers of past and future in the only way they know how: by staging two spectacular boxing shows, back-to-back in the same venue, loaded with the best young talent the island nation has to offer on the precipice of the Puerto Rican Day Parade.
Sergio Martinez continues his verbal onslaught towards Manny Pacquiao
By: Chris Robinson
Las Vegas Boxing Examiner
Brick City Boxing's Danny Serratelli and Sergio MartinezWhen thinking of pound for pound stalwarts Manny Pacquiao and Sergio Martinez, some parallels between the two men arise, such as their left-handed stature, ability to throw punches in bunches from an awkward attack, viscous nature inside of the ring, and overall temperaments as fighters. But, while one would expect each to have a serious amount of respect for the other, it has been Martinez who has fired some verbal salvos at Pacquiao in recent times.
Martinez burst onto the American scene in October of 2008 with a near-flawless 8th round destruction over Congo's Alex Bunema in Temecula, California while Pacquiao crossed the threshold over to super stardom a few months later by moving up in weight and belting Oscar De La Hoya over eight-one sided rounds. From that point forward each man has produced their share of jaw-dropping moments inside of the squared circle, with Martinez moving up boxing's ladder as Pacquiao held firm to his mantle as the sport's premier fighter.

Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next.
