Haye vs. Valuev: Logic Dictates Haye
By: Ted Sares
He [Valuev} can take a shot better than anyone that I've fought. --David Haye
What kind of example is he [Haye] setting for kids? It's embarrassing and I cannot accept it. --Wlad Klitschko
…I will defend my title and calm Haye down. --Nikolay Valuev
The Haymaker - David Haye, a.k.a “The Haymaker,” is brash, cocky, and an incessant trash talker (he called Valuev "a big hairy freak," "a circus act" and also said the champion "stinks."). He fights with an explosive style and sledgehammer power, and possess a physique that Jeff Lacey would covet. As well, he is a legitimate knock out artist with 21 stoppages in his 22 fights. His only loss came against Carl “The Cat” Thompson in a closet classic fought back in 2004, but that was then and this is now..

EXPLOSIVE ADAMEK VICTORY - Post Fight Quotes
Tomasz Adamek knocked out Andrew Golota in a 5 round fight that proved Adamek has what it takes to be a top contender in the heavyweight arena. Here’s what was said at the post fight interviews.
From Tomasz Adamek:
“I will never forget this moment, fighting in front of almost 17 thousand Polish fans against a Polish legend that went through many great battles. It was a meaningful night for me.”
“By beating Andrew Golota I made a statement about my power. I wanted to show how good I can be as a heavyweight. I got hit couple of times pretty hard, but I was never in danger. Looks like my iron chin will work for me in a higher weight class also.”
UFC 104: Machida Defeats Shogun in Controversial Decision
By: Jim Genia (Oct 25, 2009) DoghouseBoxing
UFC light-heavyweight champ Lyoto Machida successfully defended his belt against Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC 104 last night, but only in the eyes of the judges. After five rounds of patient back-and-forth exchanges, which saw Machida absorb a plethora of punishing kicks to the body and legs, ringside officials unanimously saw the champ ahead three rounds to two – a decision that surprised Machida and Shogun both and elicited a chorus of boos from the 16,000 fans packed into the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Adamek Overwhelms Golota En Route to a 5th Round TKO Victory!
By Les Dowgier
Tomasz Adamek is now 1-0 in the heavyweight division after overwhelming and outclassing countryman Andrzej Golota over five one sided rounds.
In a filled Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland, both fighters came into the ring looking relaxed but focused and ready to go. After a rather underwhelming undercard, the capacity crowd (which was said to be mainly pro-Golota) was brimming with excitement as the bell sounded to begin the first round. However, the pro-Golota crowd would have little to cheer from that point on.

One More From the Road
Glen Johnson Gears up for Chad Dawson
By: Rob Tierney
Throughout his entire career, Glen Johnson has been upsetting Boxing's balance of power. Whether he's upending a promoter's plans for a megafight between more marketable opponents or painting blemishes on a rising upstarts career, the "Road Warrior" is notorious for playing the role of the spoiler. On November 7th, Johnson faces judgement day once more in front of what he hopes will be an unbiased jury in Hartford, CT.
On October 14th, I was afforded an opportunity to pick Glen's brain about next month's return bout with Chad Dawson. Here is what the former IBF champion had to say about his upcoming fight.
RT: Good Afternoon Glen. How have things been?
GJ: Very Good! Thank you.
RT: Your rematch with Chad Dawson is less than one month away. How has your preparation been coming along for this fight?
GJ: The prep has been great. I feel good. Training for the fight is just about complete and we are ready to cruise into Connecticut.
RT: How do you feel physically? For instance, how would you compare your current condition to your physical state prior to previous fights?
GJ: Mostly I feel great. In fact, I probably feel better now than I have before any of my previous fights. I'm thankful for the opportunity and I am looking forward to next month.

Adamek Workout 10-10
Tomasz Adamek
“Right now I weigh 215. That is a very comfortable weight for me, very natural. I feel very good, in great shape.”
“I can fight either cruiserweight or heavyweight. My natural weight is 215, so if more heavyweight fights can be made that would be good. We do not see any good cruiserweight proposals being made. Maybe next year at the same time I can have a fight with the Klitschkos. It is my dream to be a champion in this category. In the heavyweight division whoever is smarter and faster can win. I am not afraid of anybody.”
