MIKE JONES – LENIN ARROYO NOW AVAILABLE ON WWW.GOFIGHTLIVE.TV ON-DEMAND
PHILADELPHIA (August 10, 2009)—This past Saturday night, boxing’s top Prospect Mike “MJ” Jones (18-0, 15 KO's) returned to the ring and took on Lenin Arroyo in a scheduled ten round Welterweight clash for Jones’ NABA Welterweight title.
Fans now can catch the exciting replay on www.gofightlive.tv
The fight which took place at Bally’s in Atlantic City featured Jones hammering Arroyo all over the ring only to see the late-replacement show one of the greatest chins in boxing as not only did he not go down but receiving the punishment only fueled his offense.
The fight thrilled the crowd as Jones remained undefeated but it was an exciting affair.
That was not the only action filled fight of the night as Jamal Davis and Manuel Guzman traded heavy shots throughout their six round Jr. Middleweight tussle.
Every time Davis would have Guzman in trouble, the Lancaster, PA native would come back to rock Davis. This fight was a crowd pleasing affair.
Former Dominican Olympian, Jerson Ravelo got back on the winning track by outpointing Willis Lockett over eight rounds.
For $5.99 fans can witness the full seven bout card that included a controversial stoppage in the Ronald Cruz – Julias Edmonds tussle as well as a devastating knockout by debuting Ryan Carson as he shocked Atlantic City’s own Osnel Charles.
“It was a great night of boxing. You have to hand to Russell Peltz. He put on an outstanding night of boxing. To find an opponent like Arroyo on such short notice is a reason why Peltz is in the Hall of Fame”, said David Klarman, vice-president of www.gofightlive.tv
“That kid showed an incredible heart to stand in there with Jones. That just capped off an exciting show as all the fights were action filled and highly competitive.”
