Bobby Gunn Promises Fireworks on July 11!

Hackensack, NJ (July 4) - Every year on July 4, millions of Americans celebrate our nation’s freedom with their friends and loved ones. One of the most traditional and enjoyable ways to honor America’s independence is to attend a fireworks spectacular.

Powerful, loud, and colorful could best describe the impressive display that keeps so many proud Americans entertained at parks and sports stadiums annually. While July 4 fireworks shows will take place at countless locations across the Land of the Free, Bobby Gunn is planning his own special extravaganza, albeit slightly off schedule.

In exactly on week, Gunn, 21-3-1 (18 KO’s), will challenge IBF/Ring Magazine Cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Nicknamed “Goral” for his astonishing chin and toughness, Adamek is universally regarded as the top Cruiserweight in the world. In facing an opponent who impressively defeated former world champions Steve Cunningham, O’Neil Bell and previously unbeaten contender Jonathon Banks, Gunn knows he will have to create fireworks to combat the brawl-happy Pole.

“This fight definitely isn’t going to the cards”, said the colorful Cruiserweight. “One of us is getting knocked out, either him or I. I know this is going to be the hardest fight of my life but I am ready to go!”

Having been in the gym since April, Gunn’s difficult training regimen has boosted him to another level. Ranked by three of the major sanctioning bodies and as a WBA-NABA and WBC-USNBC Cruiserweight champion, Gunn already had something to fight for. While the recognition of holding two different sanctioning bodies’ belts is a solid feat, Gunn is focused on beating the universally recognized Cruiserweight champion and is confident he may very well shock the boxing world.

“I had the training camp of a lifetime”, said the former IBA Cruiserweight champion. “If I fight the way I trained to, things will go my way. I had many different looks from my sparring partners and Adamek will present a great challenge but come July 11, I am ready to produce major fireworks!”

The Gunn-Adamek world Cruiserweight title fight is taking place July 11 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Tickets can be purchased by calling 973-200-7050.
