Brick City Picks: Pacquiao vs. Hatton

Alex "The Brick City Bullet" Perez, undefeated welterweight:
I'm running with Pac Man becasue he's fast and he has lots and lots of angles. He has a lot of power and he's a southpaw, like me. Besides, Ricky only knows one way and thats coming forward and that is what Pac Man Loves!

Bobby Bok:
Pac-Man wins easily. Hatton is all hype no action.

Michael "The Artist" Perez, Undefeated Super featherweight:
I feel as though Hatton will come in doing his usual trying to rough up Pac Man and is going to get caught doing so. I give it 7 rounds or less.

Johnny Dillon:
I think Manny Pacqiao will outbox Ricky bad over 12 rounds. Ricky will keep coming, but will grow tired of eating shots on his way in. I see it Manny taking it roughly 8-4 or 9-3 on the cards.

Alex Kut, KEA Boxing:
I really like Manny Pacquiao in this fight. Ricky Hatton is a great fighter no doubt, but Manny Pacquiao is stronger than most people think and he is the more skilled and talented fighter. All you have to do is look at what he did to Oscar De La Hoya.

[More:]

Regardless of Oscar's age in that fight, Manny put the pressure on him and outboxed him 10-1. Manny schooled him, Period! Now against Ricky he may not be able to do what he did against De La Hoya so easily, but since that fight he has matured, gotten stronger, and trained harder for this fight than any other fight in his career.

I can see a few knockdowns on either side of these fighters, one from the more powerful and bigger fighter Ricky Hatton and his ability to get some big power punches on Manny, but I aslo see Manny possibly putting Ricky on the canvas if he put the pressure on and boxes him. I really feel like we might see a war here, and not a snoozer like other fights that have been built up to this hype in the past. I pick Manny Pacquiao by TKO in the 11th.

Angelo LiVecchi:
Ricky Hatton will need to bring it for a full 12 rounds. If he can do that he will slowly wear down the naturally smaller Pac Man and he will win enough of the later rounds to capture a close, possibly split decision.
