JEFF LACY READY TO GO

By: Damon “Latinbox” Gonzalez

Pinellas Park, FL – The former IBF/IBO Super Middleweight Champion Jeff “Left Hook” Lacy (24-2, 17 KO’s) opens training camp today at the Ultimate Fighters gym in Pinellas Park, Florida. There is a fill in the air at camp with positive motivation, Lacy with a very positive mind set seemly very exited to jump back into the ring on April 10th against light heavyweight Otis “Triple G” Griffin (19-4, 7 KO’s).

In a very thought out process Lacy giving strong consideration with promoting really looks to do bigger things in boxing with Left Hook Promotions at this stage of his carrier getting back into the mix, Lacy very exited to say the least about fighting in front of his home crowd in Tampa – St. Pete, Not at all feeling the pressure, Lacy training hard showing very fast hand speed, looking to go back to the basics and box, He looks not to hold anything back.

[More:]

Lacy has physically and mentally prepared himself for this fight, This time around there is no question Lacy will be able to get back, His shoulder injury is not a factor in any way, He looks to be very strong and have no fading in this fight, There will be no holding back he looks to punch the crap out of Griffin in this fight at 173 lbs.

Lacy states that he is clearly is ready for everything that Otis Griffin will bring, He describes this as a Super Bowl for Griffin, He thinks that he is going to come over here and spoil everything, That is just not going to happen, I know that I can move my hands be in great condition using my power and speed to make a fight.

Trainer Roger Bloodworth a long time friend back with Lacy pretty much likes what Jeff has been doing, He is just fun to work with a great warrior, He will do very well in this fight. Lacy is not angry at boxing, Times have past by and he has learned a lot. Jeff is very confident will look good technically and fight hard on April 10th.

Co-Promoter of the event Terry Trakes from One Punch Productions states that this evaluation process from Lacy getting into promoting shows that it is no cake walk, He is now seeing the other side, He can see what a promoter goes through from a different prospective then a fighter.

“Homecoming” is presented in association with One Punch Productions and Everlast will feature Lacy in the main event of the evening, and a exiting 10 card bouts for the night. Tickets are available at ticketmaster and the Sun Dome box office.

Jeff got his but kicked! I'm from Tampa. Lacy should fight Griffin again before he moves forward or just retire. I refuse to support a fighter that wins off home cooking. Prove to me that you can beat Griffin first then go after bigger fish!
