James Toback, one of America's most provocative filmmakers and screenwriters (Fingers, The Gambler, Bugsy, Black and White) has consistently explored the extremes of human behavior and psychology. For this innovative documentary portrait, he finds a perfect subject in Mike Tyson, the heavyweight boxing champion who grew up on the streets of Brooklyn and went through a rollercoaster career filled with fame and controversy.
Toback's empathy with his subject results in a remarkably candid and revealing portrait of a man filled with surprising contradictions.
