Union City, NJ (January 21, 2009) – It’s a cold winter and Pound for Pound Promotions is returning to Schuetzen Park to “Turn up the Heat” for boxing fans with yet another stellar fight card. With the North Bergen venue quickly becoming the home base for rising Pound for Pound stars, February 19th should be no exception to the fact that this young promoting company is making quite a name for themselves with the fights they put together.

Bayonne, NJ product Bobby Rooney (8-2, 4 KOs) will be fighting for the WBF 175 lb. All American title, when he takes on James Morrow (11-11-3, 5 KOs) from Lafayette, Indiana in the main event of the evening. Also on the card will be the always exciting junior lightweight out of North Bergen, Danny “Little Mac” McDermott (6-1, 2 KOs), Union City’s own Jason “Monstruo” Escalera (4-0, 4 KOs), featherweight phenom out of Passaic, NJ Victor “The Viper” Valanzuela (4-0, 1 KO) and both making their pro debuts are Chris Murphy (160 lbs.) out of Sparta, NJ and Jersey City, NJ native Patrick “Paddy” Farrell (190 lbs.).
