INTERNATIONAL FIGHT LEAGUE, HEADBLADE AND REAL FIGHTER MAGAZINE COMBINE TO HOST, VISIT AND ENTERTAIN TROOPS AND NEW YORK CITY POLICE AND FIREMEN AT DECEMBER 29 IFL WORLD GRAND PRIX AT MOHEGAN SUN

Business Partners To Provide Tickets to Area Vets and Public Servants Affected by 9/11 Tragedy; Athletes and Coaches To Also Visit U.S. SUBASE Groton

NEW YORK, December 21, 2007 – The International Fight League (OTC.BB: IFLI), HeadBlade and Real Fighter Magazine are combining with the group Tickets For Troops to assist local military vets and New York City Police and Fireman affected by the tragedies of September 11 at next week’s IFL World Grand Prix at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

[More:]

HeadBlade and Real Fighter have purchased a block of tickets for the groups to attend the December 29 event as their guests. In addition to those attending, IFL athletes and coaches will visit the SubVets Groton Base in Groton, Conn., prior to the event at Mohegan Sun, and will be signing a large number of cards to be sent to troops overseas over the coming months.

The World Grand Prix is the IFL’s season-ending championship event, with an unprecedented five title belts on the line in five weight classes. The event will be shown live on HDNet in the United States and Fox Sports World in Canada, with the broadcast starting at 9:30 p.m. EST. The preliminary events will begin in the arena at 7:30 p.m.

“We are very excited that HeadBlade and Real Fighter have joined us to assist those in public service at this special time of year,” said IFL Co-founder and Commissioner Kurt Otto. “We feel that we cannot do enough for those men and women in uniform and their families, and being able to visit the base and have a group attend our event is just a small token of our appreciation.”

The effort in Connecticut will affect over 1,000 service men and women and is the latest in a year-round effort by the IFL and its partners to assist those defending the United States. IFL coaches and athletes have visited troops and held clinics on bases ranging from Everett, Washington, to the Persian Gulf and Afghanistan in the past year, with more events in the planning stages for 2008.
