The Spider Goes Hollywood!!!

Finally, Anderson “Spider” Silva will get some competition in the form of Dan “Hollywood” Henderson.
The UFC announced at the post fight press conference last night that these two champions will clash in the near future. The bout will likely take place at UFC 82 March 1 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. In the eyes of so many MMA fans, this much anticipated fight would mark history. Henderson is the Pride Middleweight Champion and will attempt to unify his championship as he challenges Silva for the UFC Middleweight Championship.
Henderson once carried both the Pride Light Heavyweight and Middleweight titles until dropping a close split decision to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at UFC 75. That fight was the first time a Pride Champion faced a UFC Champion in a unification bout.
Silva has stayed busy as well defending his Middleweight Title against UFC poster boy Rich “Ace” Franklin in front of a hostile crowd in Cincinnati, Ohio at UFC 77. The “Spider” knocked Rich out early on in the second round in devastating fashion.
Anderson has seemed unbeatable since entering the octagon and has easily dispatched every opponent he has faced. This upcoming test will be his toughest challenge to date and will unify the two most important Titles in the sport. Not to mention this will be a MMA fans dream fight.
