IRONMEN OPEN PRESEASON CAMP

NEWARK, NJ– The inaugural season of the New Jersey Ironmen officially began today when the club opened the first day of preseason training camp. The Ironmen will play their first Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) regular season contest on October 26th when they head south to face the expansion Orlando Sharks.
“We will open camp with 30 players, and we will pick the final 20-man roster on October 19th,” Ironmen Vice President of Soccer Operations and Head Coach Omid Namazi stated.
The club will be training at Turf City located in Wayne, New Jersey. The indoor facility features sports turf with the same parameters of the MISL field. As part of preseason preparation, the team will travel to Baltimore on September 29th for a round robin tournament. Along with the host Baltimore Blast, the Ironmen will be joined by the 2006-07 MISL champion Philadelphia KiXX.
The Ironmen will play a 15-match home schedule at Prudential Center in the Downtown Core Redevelopment District of Newark. The club makes their historical home debut on Saturday, December 1, when they face the Detroit Ignition. The Ignition are coming off a successful season in which they were the 2007 Major Indoor Soccer League Championship Series runners-up. After reaching the finals in just their first season, Detroit fell to the KiXX in the MISL championship, 13-8.
Season and group tickets for the Ironmen are available now. Season tickets start as low as $120! Call 1-800-IRONMEN today to be part of history!
